Service
Style 1350 is an Interwoven Aramid filament – the strongest braided packing material available. Impregnated with TFE and saturated with a high-temperature inert lubricant, style 1350 is highly recommended for extreme duty service in water, steam, oils, brines, many solvents and mild acids and caustics.
With exceptionally high tensile strength, style 1350 has proven to be one of the best packings available for extreme service applications, such as slurry pumps, hydropulpers, sludge pumps and dredge pumps. This material is also highly recommended for use in blenders, mixers and extruders processing rubbers, gums and abrasives; reciprocating pumps; and in hydraulic pumps and presses with large clearances, high pressures or poor metal surfaces.
