Service
Style 1359 is Interwoven™ braided with Aramid corners and ePTFE/graphite yarn in the center. This unique combination provides the ultimate in high-pressure/slurry sealing. The rugged Aramid prevents ePTFE/graphite yarn extrusion. ePTFE/graphite yarn dissipates heat and virtually eliminates shaft scoring when over tightened. Style 1359 delivers buit-in extrusion resistance and reduces common installation mistakes during ring placement.
Typical Applications
Pumps and valves handling extremely abrasive slurries. May also be used as end rings to prevent extrusion. Especially effective in paper mill applications such as hydropulpers, refiners, stock pumps and digester equipment. Also superior service is attained in dredge and sewage treatment applications.
